About Erica
Erica Garza is a Los Angeles–based writer covering health, relationships, and the stigmatized topics people don’t always know how to talk about. Her work spans both editorial and brand content, combining reported research, expert interviews, and narrative storytelling to expand conversations around health in ways that feel nuanced, accessible, and real.
Her essays have appeared in TIME, Glamour, VICE, The Cut, The Daily Telegraph, and Business Insider. She has also partnered with leading health brands, including Hims & Hers, Ro, Maximus, Legacy, Om Mushrooms, and Papa & Barkley, to create health content that is both research-driven and empathetic.
Her debut memoir, Getting Off, was a New York Times Editor’s Choice and has been widely covered by outlets including the BBC, The Guardian, Elle, and the TODAY Show.
Erica has taught memoir workshops with Writing Workshops Los Angeles and worked closely with writers to develop and refine personal narratives, including projects with incarcerated writers.
