Hi, I’m Erica. I’m a Los Angeles–based writer who tells stories about health, relationships, and the stigmatized topics people don’t always know how to talk about.
My essays have appeared in TIME, Glamour, VICE, The Cut, Salon, The Daily Telegraph, and Business Insider. I’ve also worked with health brands like Hims & Hers, Ro, Maximus, Legacy, Om Mushrooms, and Papa & Barkley.
My debut memoir, Getting Off, was a New York Times Editor’s Choice and has been featured by the BBC, The Guardian, Elle, and the TODAY Show.
I teach memoir workshops and work with writers to develop personal narratives, including projects with incarcerated writers.
I have an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from UCLA, and I hold a certificate in narrative therapy from the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy.
